Christmas

Well Christmas has come and gone for another year. It was a different Christmas this year. We were all going to go to Utah, but those plans kinda fell through. So everyone stayed home, we celebrated with the Antonio's in the morning and then they had decided they would still go to Utah, so they took off in the early afternoon. So needless to say my Christmas was not what I had wanted. I know things change and we should accept them, but I think the MOM should get what she wants for Christmas!!!!!
Anyway I hope everyone else had a GOOD Christmas. Hopefully 2010 will bring happiness and hope for a brighter future. love to everyone

Happy Thanksgiving

Thanks giving has come and gone.... we ate all the turkey we could stuff in our tummies. Had all the girls we to celebrate with us. It was fun, and now tomorrow morning we are going to attack black friday at 3:30 in the morning. sounds like fun!!!!

Time flies.....

Wow, how times flies, can't believe it is already November. Christmas is right around the corner. Chad & I are doing well. The weather in Vegas right now is really nice, we can sit outside and not die in the heat. We had a really good time in NYC(actually New Jersey, but pretty close), it was nice to see the family.
We are spending Thanksgiving in Vegas again this year, the girls will be here, we will miss Tyler this year, I think he wants to spend it with Taylar and her family. We will all be traveling to Utah for Christmas this year. It has been a long time since we have had Christmas in Utah, it will be nice.

HI........

Wow, it has been a long time since I was on here, with facebook I don't seem to get here very often. I can't remember what I wrote last,(forgot to look), I do know the first part of August we went to Utah for a family reunion. It was really good to see the family again and to catch up on what is going on in their lives. Everyone has definally grown up, especially the kids that I haven't seen for a long time. All our kids made it there, so that was really great!!!!
Krissy & Kyler came down the first part of Sept for a few days. That was fun to have them here and some alittle time with them.
Chad & I have just been doing the same thing, alittle work, tending the grandkids once in awhile and playing alittle of the weekends. But we are both doing really well. We are going back to New Jersey in a week or so to celebrate his grandma Millie's 90th birthday. That will be fun. We will see his family again.

Utah

We went to Utah over the weekend for a Nelson family reunion. It was a lot of fun, seen cousins that I haven't seen for quite a while and have missed. Spent time with Krissy and Kyler. Got to eat at Maddox and go to Shopko. I know I sound like a broken record, but I miss a few things in Utah.
Back to work for another week of fun, ha,ha.

Quick Trip

Over the weekend, Chad & I make a quick trip to Colorado. A friend he went to school with, him and his wife were celebrating their 25th wedding anniversay. So Chad drove over on friday and I flew out on saturday morning and then we drove home on Sunday. Whew!!!!!! We did have a good time, Colorado was so nice and cool and GREEN. it was really nice, plus the party was really fun also.
Two weekends ago Tyler & Taylar were here and it was a another go, go, weekend. The kids had fun.

July is here....

Well here we are in the middle of the year, 5 months and we will be celebrating Christmas, YEAH!!!!! Well here at the Steinmetz residence things are pretty much the same. We celebrated the 4th pretty low keyed. We watched K-Rae Saturday night while the rest of her family celebrated with friends. We watched the movie The curious case of Benjamin Buttons. We enjoyed it. Well thats about it for now. Those people in Mantua enjoy Little Valley Days for me.

HOT, HOT, HOT

Well we are coming into summer in Vegas!! It is warming up fast. I am not looking forward to the next few months here. It just gets tooooo hot. But I'm still not sure I can handle the cold and snow for 4 or so months. We had a good trip to Utah, I know I am kind of slow. Tyler's graduation was nice, it was good to see him graduate. We spent some time with Chad's parents, Krissy and Tyler & Taylar. Chad & I got to see some friends and spend some time with them. It was great to catch up. And of course I got to spend some money at my favorite store - Shopko. Also spent some time with my sis and Matt & JennyLyne and the K man.

Utah!!!!!

Yeah, we are coming to Utah this week, leaving early Wednesday morning and heading back on Sunday. Tyler(Chad's son) is graduating from High School. We pick up Chad's parents on Wednesday and drive up to Brigham, have supper with Tyler and then he graduates on Thursday.
I will fill you in on our trip when we return.

Well this week has been kind of quiet, we are back to just the two of us and working and eating and sleeping. We had a fun week of just hanging out. Lisa came into town on Friday, we celebrated Kyler's birthday on Saturday. Krissy decorated her first real decorated cake(sponge bob square pants), I will get some pics soon. She did a great job!!!!
We haven't even seen the kids that live right here since Sunday. I guess they figure grandma needs a break or something.

Fun in the Sun

Krissy, Kat & Kyler came down to Vegas this week. They arrived on Sunday(Mothers Day), nice mothers day gift. Since it is so hot down here already, we have kind of played in the pool alot. I took the week off of work, and that has been REALLY nice. Here is some of the fun in the sun we have been having. We will be celebrating Kyler's 5th birthday on Saturday the 16th, when his aunt Lisa gets into town. Pictures will follow after that. Love to everyone.

update

Well as usual I haven't updated in awhile. Life as usual, I've decided I live a pretty boring life!!!! But that is okay, it really doesn't take much to make me happy..... Chad did go to Mesquite last Wednesday thru Saturday, to go golfing with some friends from high school, so I got my alone time which I love. So I spent some time shopping, spending time with Jennifer, Mike, Jaren & Kennadee, even spent alittle time in the casino and of course when to work everyday. Chad's birthday is coming up on Cinco de Mayo day, and I am still trying to decide what to get him. So everyone celebrate Cinco de Mayo day and think of Chad. Then the next week Krissy, Kat and Kyler will be here for a visit, and Lisa will be here for that weekend. That will be great!!!! Everyone have a good week.

Happy Easter

Hi, eveyone and Happy Easter!!! Hope everyone has a good holiday, we will be spending it here in Las Vegas with Jen, Mike and Family. It is really hard on holidays not to be able to spend every one of them with all the kids and grandkids and even the extended family, we would probably need to rent a hall or something, but wouldn't it be fun!!!
No to much else going on, last weekend we had a friend of Chad's stay with us. It was nice to have a friend from Utah drop in and visit. We had a good a good time.

new upday....

Hi, it has been awhile again, things just aren't that exciting for two old people. ha ha snicker snicker. I did decorate the house for Easter. Yes, I am one of those who put out cute holiday decorations. We did go down to the strip on saturday and went to see how the gardens at the Belligo looked. They are very pretty as usual, and then of course watched the fountains. We drove by the Hilton to see what some ligthts looked like that Chad put up. He takes care of the Hilton now along with the other work that he does. It looked very nice!!!! Then we drove out to the Eastside Cannery, because I have not seen it since they built it. Played ALITTLE on the slots, they wouldn't even play with us, so we left.

time goes by in a hurry....

Well it has been quite awhile since I updated. Nothing much has been going on. We work, we sleep, we eat and then do it all again the next day. Then days turn into weeks and weeks turn into months and you know the rest of the story......
We are suppose to be in the 80's this week, so the weather is really good right now. It is time to start thinking about getting the pool up.

Weekend in Utah

I have to say the time in Utah was great. We had a good time, it was fun seeing family again and some we haven't seen for awhile. We ate at Maddox on Saturday with family. Then Chad & I went to visit some of our friends we haven't seen for quite awhile. It was good to see friends again. On Sunday it was Amy Jo's farewell. She did an awesome job. On Monday Krissy, Kyler, Lisa & I spent some time in Park City. The girls went snowboarding and I got pampered by getting a facial. On Tuesday we meet Amy Jo and family and were with her when she got set apart as a missionary, and then Wednesday, we all left her at the MTC, quite a experience. We all said and teary goodbyes. Then Wednesday night I flew back to Las Vegas. It is alway nice to come home(even if it is Las Vegas) but I sure miss Utah.
It was great to see Kyler, he is a joy to be around. I sure love and miss him.

The Weekend

I thought I would update again, wow. First off, I need to thank Krissy for adding pictures to our blog, since my pictures are on our old computer and I haven't transferred them yet, so THANK YOU KRISSY!!!!!!.
Well we are off for the weekend again, this time going to Utah (home), our niece, Amy Jo, is going on a mission to Argentina and this weekend is her farewell and then into the mission home on Wednesday. Chad & I are going up Saturday and Chad is coming back on Sunday, after the farewell. I am staying until Wednesday,yea. I am so proud of Amy Jo and the decision she had made to go on a mission, she will be great.
Lisa is joining us also. We are all meeting on Saturday at Maddox, one of my favorite places to eat, and miss it too. There will be my sister and two brothers and parts of all the familes. It will be great to see everyone again.
Hopefully I will have some pictures after our visit and update when we get back.

Well it has been a while since I have been on my blog, except to mess it up just trying to change the background, it just goes to show I really don't know what I am doing.
Anyway, last weekend we went to Colorado to spend some time wth Chads parents and to go skiing. No not me, I don't get near that kind of sport. On Friday Chad and his parents and Tyler and Taylar all went skiing,(yes his parents, they are in their 70's and still ski, that is why they have a condo in Colorado) while I stayed at the condo for some rest and relaxation all by myself. On Saturday Tyler went back to the slopes with his uncle and cousin and fell and broke his wrist, so that was the end of his time on the slopes.
We came back home on Monday and when we got off the plane it was as cold in Las Vegas as it was in Colorado. We had a good weekend!!!

Kennadee's Birthday

Well we celebrated K-Rae's b-day on Saturday, Jan 31. Lisa & Krissy came into town for the occasion. We had a really good time. She was so cute, and she got alot of fun clothes and toys. We gave her some balloons and she got so excited when she saw them.
